For my first post of 2017, I have decided to write about all of my favourite things I have used and loved through 2016. They aren’t only beauty products, but I have also included a few books that I used/read through the year. I have reviewed all of these items in my previous posts, and the reason for that is because I want this to be more of a “2016 Favourites” list instead of a big review, so I will be including links to where I have reviewed them.
1. The Body Shop Piñita Colada Body Sorbet- £8
Product review: Summer Essentials
I bought and used this body sorbet (mainly) in the summer, but it is one of my favourites of 2016. It has a cooling feeling which is amazing in the summer. The main reason I love it so much is because of the scent. As the name suggests, it is a pinita colada smell which means it smells like coconuts and pineapples. This isn’t available anymore, but the body scrub in the same scent and body sorbets in other scents are still available. I have done a full review on this on my Summer Essentials post, and the link for that is above.
Product review: Bedside Books
This journal is a place where you can write down your dreams, but it has the best layout for you to do so. You have a place to draw and write the dream, a place to check off and write how you felt during the dream, and your interpretation. I went into full detail in my Bedside Books post, and the link is here.
I haven’t reviewed this book before on any of my posts , but it was one of my favourite books of the year. It was recommended and had a lot of good reviews, so I decided to buy it during the summer. It is a very short and quick read, so I got through it quite quick. It is about a girl named Audrey who can’t leave her house or even take her glasses off inside. The book is in first person, and explains how she deals with all of this.
Product review: My Three Recent Lip Faves
I bought a honey lip-care stick from The Body Shop a few years ago and it was the best lip balm I ever owned, but unfortunately it isn’t available anymore. I found another lip-care stick from there but it wasn’t the same scent. I did a full review on my blogpost about my Three Recent Lip Faves, and the link to that is above.
Product review: Bedside Books
For my final book favourite of the year, I will be talking about the Q and A a Day Journal. I had seen loads of people talk about this book, so I bought it from Amazon back in July. I did a full review on my Bedside Books blogpost, but the main idea is that you answer a question everyday and there are five blank spaces on each page, and each blank space on a page is for every year. It is a way for you to see how your answers have changed over those five years.
Product review: My Everyday Makeup Routine
This concealer is my favourite concealer I have ever used, and I bought it this year so I thought I would include it in this post. It’s brightening, doesn’t crease, and it doesn’t feel like anything when I wear it. I did a full review on my post about My Everyday Makeup Routine and the link to that is here.
7. Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara- £6.99
Product review: Rimmel London Scandaleyes Mascara
I bought this mascara since it was recommended by a youtuber, and it is my favourite mascara of 2016. I did a blogpost about it two weeks ago all about it and the link to that can be found above or here.
I hope you have enjoyed my first post of 2017 and there are links to every product in this post that I have reviewed in my older posts. I will be posting my next post, 2016 Brand Favourites, next Sunday at 6 PM GMT.
