My Three Recent Lip Faves

I love lip products, I love lip liners, lipsticks, lip gloss, lip balm, and any other lip product you can think of. I could never be able to pick my three favorite of all time, so today I decided to choose three that I have been using recently a lot more or that I have recently bought. I have one that I bought a while ago but just recently started using more, and two which I have bought recently. I hope you find some new products and enjoy!

1. Tanya Burr Cosmetics Matte Lip in “Martha Moo” (£5.99)

This lip product is one of my all time favorites. It is a liquid lipstick or matte lip, in a dark pink. There are two other shades in her matte lip collection, which are both lighter than this one. I don’t really like a strong lip most of the time, so I will usually brush off nearly all of the product from the brush, and then apply. But sometimes I will use it regularly and and not brush off the product, and I apply but I blend it out so that it doesn’t look as harsh. The brush is one of my favorite things about this, it’s very comfortable and its just the right size. It’s not too big that it gets the product where you don’t want it to go, but it’s not too small that it takes a long time to fill in your lips. The packaging is amazing, it’s just like the old Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lip Glosses, but the glass is frosted and the lid is matte. As it is matte, you would expect it to be drying, which it definitely isn’t. Of course all matte lip products are drying but this isn’t. I wouldn’t go as far to say its moisturizing, but it’s not drying considering what it is. If you want to stay on the safe side, what I like to do is add a bit of lip balm before applying it, and the lip balm I use is the next product I am going to talk about.

2. The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick (£4)

Last year I bought the Body Shop Vitamin Lip Care Stick SPF 15, and it was the best (clear) lip balm I have ever tried. Everything about it was amazing, from the scent to how moisturizing it was. Lip balms do take a long time to finish, but surprisingly I finished it, and it was the first lip balm I have ever finished. A few weeks ago I bought The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick to replace the old one and it is just as amazing as the first. The only difference between the new one and the old one is that the Cocoa Butter Lip Balm doesn’t have any SPF and the scent is different. The scent of this one smells like cocoa butter, but has a slight whiff of chocolate and coconut. The smell isn’t too overpowering which I do like. I do wish it does have SPF in it for the hot weather. but you could purchase the Vitamin E lip balm for that. The packaging isn’t anything fancy, it’s just like their other lip care sticks. As it says on the sticker, it softens and moisturises, which it definitely does. I apply it once in the morning, and once before going to bed, and if I have eaten anything I will need to re-apply. And for £4, it’s very affordable.

*This lip balm is only available for a short amount of time as the Tutti Frutti Collection is going out of stock to make room for more products

I bought this lip balm a while ago, and used it for a while, but I started using a lot of other lip balms and lipsticks at that time so I forgot about this one. For the past two months I’ve started to use it again, and I love it. It is a tinted lip balm, but I guess it was designed more for the colour than to moisturize. It looks like a dark Barbie pink in the container, but with one swipe it’s only a hint of colour. It is not meant to have lots of pigment, you can build it up to look like the colour in the container. It’s not as moisturizing, but you don’t need to add any other lip balm. The downside to this, though, is that it’s in a pot rather than in a tube or stick, which means you have to use your finger to apply it. For some, this may not seem like a big deal, but for others that could throw them off the whole product. I personally still enjoy the product, in a tube or not. I do like the design on the front, it has a bit of lace detailing with the logo and name of the product, and it also matches perfectly with the other items in the Tutti Frutti collection.
